Plastic-Choked Drains Exposed in Karimnagar; Bandi Sanjay Urges Responsibility
Karimnagar: Union Minister and BJP leader Bandi Sanjay Kumar shared a video showing workers clearing clogged drains in Karimnagar city, revealing huge amounts of plastic waste, including bottles and glasses.
In a message posted alongside the video, he said the litter was a reflection of public negligence rather than just a civic problem. He pointed out that waste accumulates over time due to careless disposal of plastic items into the sewer.
Bandi Sanjay noted that after the BJP came to power in the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation, efforts were made to clear the mud accumulated over the years using public funds.
Citing Narendra Modi as an example, he highlighted the Prime Minister’s habit of disposing of waste responsibly and urged citizens to follow similar practices.
He emphasized that cleanliness is a shared responsibility, urging residents to avoid littering and take small steps such as storing plastic waste until they find a suitable bin.
