PM Hopes Monsoon Session of Parliament, Seasonal Monsoon are Productive

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said he hopes the Monsoon session of Parliament and the seasonal monsoon will be productive and appealed to all MPs to participate wholeheartedly in the proceedings of the House. Addressing reporters minutes before the start of the parliamentary session, Modi also said that the West Asian conflict creates great difficulties for India, which is dependent on energy imports.

He said India recorded 7.7 per cent growth despite the crisis arising from conflicts in West Asia.

“We hope that Monsoon and the Monsoon Session of Parliament will be fruitful… I urge all MPs to participate wholeheartedly in the work of the Monsoon session,” he said.

Referring to the reform initiatives taken by his government, the Prime Minister said that such steps give young people the courage to take commendable steps.

He said that the country has achieved many milestones, including in the space sector, in the last month.
