PM Modi set to visit Jordan, Ethiopia, and Oman next week; check details

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay a visit to Jordan, Ethiopia and Oman next week to strengthen ties with the three countries. He is King II. He will visit Jordan between 15-16 December at the invitation of Abdullah bin Al Hussein. During the visit, the Prime Minister will meet with the King of Jordan to review the full scope of bilateral relations and exchange views on regional issues.
This visit, which celebrates the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, offers an opportunity to strengthen the India-Jordan bilateral relationship, explore new avenues of cooperation for mutual growth and prosperity, and reiterate the commitment to promote regional peace, prosperity, security and stability, a PMO statement said.

The Prime Minister will visit Oman between 17-18 December on the last leg of his visit. This will be Prime Minister Modi’s second visit to Oman. India and Oman share an all-encompassing Strategic Partnership, underpinned by age-old ties of friendship, trade links and strong people-to-people ties. The visit will mark 70 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and will follow the State visit of the Sultan of Oman to India in December 2023.
This visit will be an opportunity for both sides to comprehensively review the bilateral partnership, including in the fields of trade, investment, energy, defence, security, technology, agriculture and culture, as well as to exchange views on regional and global issues of mutual interest.
