Prime Minister Narendra Modi will make a short visit to Tripura on September 22 to open the expanded facilities at Tripura Sundari Temple in Udaipur, the center of the Gomati Region.

Authorities said in a statement on Thursday, September 18, 2025, the Prime Minister will open the re -development and expansion project at Tripura Sundari Temple, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, founded by Maharaja Dhanya Manikya in 1501. The central government financed the project.
The authority added that development aims to increase religious tourism. As a part of the project, civil opportunities, accommodation, toilets, parking lots, an open gallery and restaurant were created.
The Prime Minister also supervised a helicopter runway built in the OTPC Power Project in Palatana. The Prime Minister is planned to fly to the MBB airport in Agartala by helicopter to Udaipur.
The Prime Minister will not appeal to an audience, but will present prayers in the temple.
