Sarah Ferguson breaks cover after 7 months | Royal | News

Sarah Ferguson has been photographed for the first time seven months after she went ‘in hiding’ due to mounting pressure over her relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. The 66-year-old actor, who has not been photographed in public since last year, was spotted at a luxury Alpine ski resort in Austria.
Wearing an all-black outfit and carrying a turquoise tote bag, Sarah was also seen trying to keep her identity a secret with a light-coloured hat. He was last seen more than 200 days ago and has remained silent on calls for US lawmakers to provide evidence about his Epstein connections.
In January, it was reported that Sarah was in the midst of a “housing crisis” after her two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, were unable to offer her a home and she wanted to stay in Windsor. Sarah was featured heavily in the Epstein files released earlier this year; An email from 2011 appeared to refer to Epstein as a “great friend.”
In exclusive images obtained by SunSarah is seen leaving a blacked-out Mercedes people transporter near the chalet on Wednesday.
A source said last night: “Fergie keeps an incredibly low profile while high in the Alps.
“He hasn’t been seen in a long time and clearly wanted to keep it that way. When he did go out, his choice of clothing was clearly carefully chosen so that he wouldn’t be recognized. The area is absolutely beautiful and very quiet most of the time, so it’s the perfect place for a high-profile figure like him to lay low when things get heated.”
She was last seen attending the funeral of the late Duchess of Kent on September 16, 2025, but is also known to have attended her youngest granddaughter Athena’s christening in December.
As well as being stripped of her title as Duchess of York last year, she was evicted from the Royal Lodge along with her ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor earlier this year. Unlike his ex-wife, Andrew still remains in the UK and lives at his Sandringham estate in Norfolk.
