Police arrest inter-state red sanders smuggler, seize huge cache of logs

The Red Sanders Anti-Smuggling Task Force (RSASTF) arrested an alleged interstate smuggler and seized a large quantity of red sandwood on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

The accused, identified as KN alias Nasser Bhai, was accused of felling trees in Seshachalam forest and illegally transporting the logs to Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. In a special operation launched to nab him, the police tracked his movement and tracked him to a secluded place in the forest near Tirupati.
