Police helicopter responds to ‘suspected stabbing’ in city centre | UK | News

A significant number of armed police were deployed to Manchester City Center following reports of a ‘suspicious stabbing’.

A police helicopter was also seen circling the area for at least forty minutes to search for those involved in the incident.

Eyewitnesses claim that several people were stabbed, but this has not yet been confirmed by Manchester Police.

A man was seen being loaded into an ambulance as emergency services rushed to the city center in large numbers.

With roads closed and cordons pulled tight, medical waste can be seen strewn on the ground and bloody bandages can be seen on the blue strip.

CID officers were also present at the scene.
