YSRCP leader alleges erosion of law and order in Andhra Pradesh

YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) State Women Wing chief and MLC Varudu Kalyani on Wednesday criticized the government for the rise in crimes, especially against women, and erosion of law and order across Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to the media at the party headquarters, Ms. Kalyani alleged that the NDA government had betrayed people’s trust in the last 18 months, leaving women defenseless and public security in disarray.
Ms Kalyani said despite promising six welfare schemes for women, the government had neglected their implementation, leaving the victims without support.
In response, he said the previous YSRCP administration had introduced Disha App and 18 special police stations to ensure quick response to emergencies.
During the coalition government, the State ranked 36th nationally for law and order, with an average response time to emergencies of 26 minutes, well above the national average of 18 minutes.
He alleged that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has openly acknowledged the increase in crimes against women.
MLC reaffirmed that YSRCP will continue to support women and protect their rights. He called on the coalition to urgently address the issue of women’s safety and implement promised welfare plans without delay.
