A passenger made a joint journey on an Indigo flight from Mumbai to Kolkata on Friday, August 1, 2025, and was then delivered to law enforcement officers for rebellious behavior at the target airport.
A video was viral on the social media of a passenger who slapped another common passenger while making a taxi at Mumbai Airport. A spectator who objects to the attack can be heard.

The turmoil took place because the passenger probably reported discomfort due to panic attacks and would cause delay because he wanted others to cause protests. The plane had already started to make a taxi at this point and had removed the destination.
“The relevant individual was defined as rebellious and delivered to the security officials at arrival,” Indigo said.
Notified to DGCA
The issue was also reported to the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
After an investigation, passengers may face a prohibition for up to two years to fly in rebellious behavior on a plane. According to the rules set by the DGCA, an oral harassment on the ship can lead to a ban by a airline up to three months, lead to no physical ban on six months, and life -threatening behavior may invite two years of ban.
