Police Seized 14 Cattle Shifted To Goshala, Counter Cases Against Gau Rakshaks And Transports Booked

Hyderabad: A truck carrying 14 cattle was stopped at ORR Exit 14 in Tukkuguda and the driver was attacked in the early hours of Monday under the pretense of ‘go to rakshaks’. Following complaints, police seized cattle worth Rs 6 lakh, shifted them to a goshala and registered a case against both parties.

According to Pahadishareef police, as the truck was heading towards Mallappally, activists stopped the truck and attacked the driver.

Pahadishareef police station officer B. Lakshmi Narayana Reddy said the police had registered cases under the Prevention of Massacres and Protection of Cattle Act against the driver and his friends. They also filed a lawsuit against the activists for causing damage under 115 BNS. SHO said both cases are under investigation
