Police officers were stunned when they stopped the suspected drunk driver and discovered 34 unopened cans of alcohol scattered all over the passenger seat. Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) Troop C shared details of the remarkable traffic stop after spotting a car traveling up to 90 mph on Interstate 75 in Pasco County near Tampa, Florida, on Saturday. The speed limit in Florida is 70 mph.
When the car pulled over, a trooper was stunned to find dozens of open cans of White Claw, a 5% alcopop, inside the Honda Civic. The driver, Conor William Parady, 34, of San Antonio, Texas, was said to be “extremely intoxicated.”
Parady was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and booked into Pasco County Jail.
FHP C Union, which shared the images of the cans found in the car on social media, said in a statement that Parady’s blood alcohol level was 0.117. In the UK the legal limit is 0.08 or 80 mg/100 ml of blood.
He added: “An FHP State Trooper on patrol northbound along I-75 at Milepost 280 in Pasco County noticed a motorist speeding.
“The vehicle, a Honda Civic, was traveling in excess of 90 mph and passed the Trooper.
“The soldier stopped traffic and observed that the driver was extremely drunk and had 34 open containers in his possession.
“The driver, Conor William Parady, 33, of San Antonio, was arrested for driving under the influence and delivered to the Pasco County Jail with a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.177.”
