Poll: How long is an acceptable wait for a routine NHS appointment?

The government will be under the commitment to cutting NHS waiting lists, and experts are unattended that millions of patients will face long delays for treatment until the end of this parliament.

Labor promised that 65 percent of patients will be treated within 18 weeks – a standard that has not been met for more than ten years. However, the new analysis shows that despite some progress in reducing general accumulated work, the target will be missed.

Supporters say that even approaching the 18 -week comparison will indicate a significant success, given the scale of the challenge.

However, critics show that the abducted targets are disappointed by patients, many of them are forced to wait months or even years.
