Popular nursery cot urgently recalled as parents given ‘risk of death’ warning | UK | News

A popular portable cot has been issued an urgent recall with warnings to parents about a ‘risk of serious injury or death’.
Australian Competition and Consumer Commission [ACCC] It reminded me of the 5-in-1 nursery center portable crib that serves as a crib, bed, sleeping bed, bassinet, activity center, and changing table. Baby cots sold on Amazon and Costway Wholesale pose a pinch and suffocation hazard, creating a risk of serious injury or death if a baby is placed inside the product.
In a statement, the ACCC said: “This product does not comply with mandatory standards for baby sleep products.
“Risk of serious injury or death from entrapment or suffocation. An incident has occurred.”
Consumers are asked to check the model number or SKU to see if it matches their product’s SKU: BB0505. If you purchased a portacot with the recalled SKU number, the guidance is that you should stop using the product immediately.
You can then return it to your place of purchase to arrange a free replacement.
Meanwhile, a snow suit for babies was also pulled from the shelves due to a dangerous malfunction.
Quilted snowsuits for babies, with a pink floral pattern and cream-colored teddy bears, were available online and in Best and Less stores nationwide between April 16 and June 11.
The dresses were recalled due to a fault with snaps that could break off during use.
There is a risk of death or serious injury from suffocation if the snap comes off the coverall and the child swallows it.
The following SKUS are recalled: 1922326, 1922327, 1922328, 1922329, 1922330, 1922331 1922334, 1922335, 1922336, 1922337, 1922338 and 1922339.
Customers are told to keep snowsuits out of reach of children and to stop using them altogether.
Customers can return their snowwear to any Best and Less store and will receive a full refund.
