Powerball $20 million jackpot: Mystery Adelaide winner scores life-changing Christmas Day win

Christmas Day brought a life-changing surprise to a lucky Australian who won an eye-popping $20 million in Thursday’s Powerball draw.
The mystery ticket holder from South Australia became the first division winner nationwide in the 1545 Powerball draw held on December 25.
The only problem? The winner may not even realize it yet.
The ticket was not registered to a player card or online account, leaving officials unable to contact the newly crowned multimillionaire.
Lott confirmed the winning entry was purchased from the Colonnades Lotto Kiosk at the Noarlunga Center on Beach Road in Adelaide’s south.
The prize equals the largest lottery win ever recorded in South Australia in 2025.
Authorities are now urging anyone who bought a Powerball ticket from the kiosk to check their ticket as soon as possible.
“Our hard earners are probably unaware of the fact that they became multimillionaires on Christmas Day,” said The Lott spokesman Matt Hart.
“We encourage everyone who purchased Powerball tickets from Colonnades Lotto Kiosk to check their tickets today!
“Imagine how exciting it will be to discover you’ve won a prize of this magnitude on Christmas Day! Your plans for the New Year and beyond may be instantly upgraded!”
“Make sure you check your tickets and if you find you have the winning ticket, contact The Lott on 131 868 to start the prize claim process.”
The winning numbers in the Powerball draw number 1545 held on Thursday, December 25, 2025 were 7, 23, 29, 20, 11, 16 and 17. The most important Powerball number was 17.
