On Saturday, Portland Mayor Keith Wilson rejected President Donald Trump’s federal troops to send Oregon’s largest city, claiming that there was no lawlessness or violence.

Trump announced on Saturday morning that he was planning to send troops to Portland at the request of the Secretary of the Ministry of Homeland Security Crisis.

The President said that the war secretary Pete Hegseth provided that “all the units required to protect Portland originating from the war and any of our ice facilities under the siege of the attack of anti -and other indigenous terrorists”.

Hours later, Wilson said that the number of troops required at a press conference was “zero” in Portland and in the other American city “.

“This is an American city, Wil Wilson said. “We don’t need any intervention. This is not a military target.”

The mayor claimed that the President’s video images claiming that violence was shown in the city five years ago “recycled and then recycled again” claimed that “lawlessness or violence”.

“If President Trump comes to Portland today, what he will find is driving his bikes, playing sports, enjoying sunlight, buying food or product from a farmer market.” He said. He continued: “We made difficult speeches and since the withdrawal of these images, we have made important studies, we have rearranged our public security system. We focused our community and economy again, and we have doubled our efforts to help our most vulnerable.”

Since June, protests exploded near an ice facility in Portland, where city officials specified land use violations, including inappropriate imprisonment and boarding windows.

The building was destroyed by icy graffiti, and the clashes between protesters and federal agents from time to time turned to violence and caused rubber bullets, tear gas and flash explosions.

The video obtained by Fox News Digital confirmed another violent protest in August with images showing that protesters’ use of guillotine, illuminating fires and fighting the authorities – in August – forced the law enforcement officers to distribute the crowd with ammunition.

Instead of sending unity to protect the federal facility, Wilson suggested that the President sent “hundreds of engineers, teachers or social assistance workers” to Portland instead of “a short, expensive and fruit -free demonstration”.

“I was very disappointed with the irresponsibility of the federal government,” he said. “At the end of the day, this may be a power show, but that’s all. He goes home after a big show and the big show.

“There are new risks today, the risks that we don’t fully understand yet,” he continued. “The administration refused to explain what it means when they said that they will use full force against our city and our citizens.”

Trump said on Saturday, as Wilson claims, he would use full force against Portland and his citizens.

The president said he would send “all the necessary troops” to protect the city and ice facilities and give full power authority to internal terrorism “if necessary.

Portland, which has been a shelter city since 2017, has resisted federal immigration sanctions, which has made a focal point during the administration’s attempt to implement immigration.

In August, the Chief Public Prosecutor Pam Bondi sent a letter to Wilson and said the city’s sacred policies weakened US interests. He demanded compliance with Portland’s federal laws and recent practices that prevented immigration sanctions.

Fox News, the city of Portland, did not respond immediately to Digital’s request.
