Precious little for US in Trump’s Iran deal

US and Iranian leaders sign agreement 14-item memorandum of understanding to end the war between their countries, as well as Israel’s military offensive against Hezbollah in Lebanon.

From the US perspective, the agreement leaves much to be desired. Washington is giving up so much for so little in return. President Donald Trump’s claims of success make this moment feel like “the emperor has no clothes.”

There is nothing positive for the United States in the agreement that did not exist before the war, including Iran’s nuclear concessions.
