Predator jailed for raping 2 teenage girls while they were asleep | UK | News

A man who raped two girls while they slept was arrested. Stefan Dobandi, of no fixed abode, was given 10 years behind bars with a two-year extended license period, as well as a 10-year restraining order, an indefinite sexual harm prevention order and a lifetime notification requirement to protect victims.
Mold Crown Court heard how a 20-year-old raped two teenage girls in Flintshire, north-east Wales, between May and June last year. He was arrested before admitting three rape charges and two counts of taking an indecent photo/fake photo of a child at a hearing in February.
The first attack took place in the early hours of June 1. Dobandi broke into the home of one of the victims, got into her bed and raped her.
When he woke up, he found the 20-year-old girl partially undressed. A second teenage girl woke up in bed last month to find Dobandi raping her.
The court heard he sent voicemails to one of the victims admitting what he had done. While the victims were praised for their bravery, Dobandi was branded a “predator”.
Investigating officer Detective Guto Hughes, of North Wales Police, said: “Dobandi proved to be a predator who posed a danger to women. “There is no doubt that these horrific crimes will likely affect his victims forever.
“I commend their courage to speak out and report his crimes, which led to his conviction today and prevented him from committing further sexual offending. “Tackling violence against women and girls remains a top priority for North Wales Police.
“We are committed to identifying perpetrators, delivering justice and ensuring victims receive the protection and support they need. We will continue to work tirelessly to hold criminals accountable and keep our communities safe.”
