Pregnant Tribal Woman Hides In Fields To Avoid Hospital Delivery

Adilabad: In a rare incident, a pregnant Adivasi woman, who belonged to the vulnerable tribal group (PVTG), was hiding in the cotton fields on the skirts of the village to avoid being taken to a state hospital for delivery on Friday morning. When Ankoli PHC’s medical personnel reached the village of Dahiguda in Adilabad rural maple, Adilabad was not found at home or in the village to accompany him.

Atram Bheem Bai, who learned that the medical team was on the road, left his home to avoid institutional delivery. Dr. The peasants and health personnel led by Sarfaraz called him more than an hour before he found him in the fields with his son. They took a sigh of relief to find him, brought him back to the village, and advised him about the importance of institutional delivery.

Initially, he refused to accompany health personnel, but eventually the community aged the elderly and health workers after convincing him. Later, in the ambulance, the wheels he developed with labor pains were shifted to Adilabad. An hour after he accepted, he gave a healthy baby baby. Both the mother and the child are safe and going well.

Some colam Adivasi women, classified as PVTGs and live in remote areas, are still reluctant to choose institutional delivery in state hospitals. Authorities say that this is of hesitation, usually the fear of the painful past experiences of other women in their villages.
