Premier League Darts 2026 results: Luke Humphries and Gerwyn Price seal play-off spots
Reigning champion Luke Humphries beat Gerwyn Price to win the first night of the Premier League season, but the pair secured play-off points in Birmingham.
Heading into his third successive night final, Humphries beat the Welshman 6-4 with an impressive 6-0 win over Stephen Bunting and a 6-3 comeback win over Luke Littler.
The 31-year-old was in imperious form with averages of 107 and 111 in the final, ahead of the 100-plus average.
It guarantees a place on the final night on May 28 for the third year in a row and caps off a remarkable few weeks for the world number two.
After week 10, Humphries was placed seventh in the eight-player standings and was five points behind fourth before making a run to the week 13 finale.
He is now guaranteed to finish at least fourth and will enter the final stage of the league in Sheffield on May 21 on equal points with third-placed Price.
“It’s been a struggle this year,” Humphries told Sky Sports.
“I worked incredibly hard, got back to my old flying routines, and it paid off. I’m proud of myself.
“It’s easy when you’re winning, but coming from my position and trying to win tonight is a real show of courage.
“I’m incredibly proud of myself. It’s probably the proudest thing I’ve ever been in my life.”
