Premier League Darts 2026 results: Luke Littler spoils Welsh party with win in Cardiff

Luke Littler beat Premier League leader Jonny Clayton 6-4 in a high-quality final at the Utilita Arena in Cardiff.
Littler broke Clayton in the opening leg of the final, but when ‘The Nuke’ failed to clear 68 with three darts in hand, ‘The Ferret’ responded directly with a break of his own.
Clayton’s targeted finishing gave the home fans in Cardiff further celebrations as the 51-year-old took the first lead of the final.
But Littler showed why he is a back-to-back world champion, scoring 170 on ‘Big Fish’ as he did in his semi-final victory over Gerwyn Price.
Both players shot out as they reached the middle stage of the final, where the score was level over three legs.
Littler nearly sent the crowd into a frenzy with a nine-dart finish, but the pair missed 15 and saw Clayton return to the oche to control the remaining 41 in an incredible stage.
The 19-year-old held the shot before the second timeout of the game, tying the game and bringing Littler closer to victory.
And Littler claimed his first night win of the 2026 Premier League season in the next leg, moving into the top four with his final dart to pass 52.
“Like the first year, it took me a while to get used to this tournament,” Littler told Sky Sports.
“I did really well tonight and I’m proud of myself.
“The table looks good now, it didn’t look good when I was seventh. That shows I need to focus on myself tonight.”
Once again on his last appearance, Clayton remains top of the table as he continues to excel in his return to the Premier League.
