Prince Andrew latest: Prince William ‘pressures Eugenie and Beatrice’ over Andrew’s Royal Lodge demands

Earlier this month, Prince Andrew renounced all his royal titles ahead of the publication of Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir.

Although still a prince, Andrew will no longer use the title of Duke of York, but will still retain the title of duke, which can only be abolished by an Act of Parliament.

Workers have been in and out of Frogmore Cottage “for weeks” to prepare for Prince Andrew, according to reports.

Sources told Sun People have been working “day and night” at the country house, which is believed to be a possible option for Prince Andrew’s next home.

“People are working day and night at Frogmore Cottage,” the source said. “The lights were on after dark on the weekend.

“And workers have been coming and going for weeks. There shouldn’t be much need for work as Harry and Meghan spent £2.4 million on repairs just six years ago and no one has lived there since then except for a few months when Princess Eugenie was there during lockdown.”

Harry and Meghan, who lived in the country house between April 2019 and March 2020, reportedly spent £2.4 million on renovations.

Four in five Britons want Prince Andrew to be formally stripped of his dukedom, according to a poll by YouGov.

The Prince has already announced his intention to stop using the title Duke of York but can only remove the title by Act of Parliament.

The survey showed that 63 percent of the nearly 6,700 adults surveyed “strongly” supported the formal abolition of the duchy and 17 percent “somewhat” supported the idea, while 6 percent were against it (4 percent somewhat and 2 percent strongly) and 14 percent did not know.

The country house is located on the Frogmore estate, part of the Home Park in Windsor, England.

It was built near Frogmore House by order of Queen Charlotte.

However, it was not always known by its current name. It was originally called Double Garden Cottage.

Queen Victoria had breakfast here in 1875. In a volume of letters he wrote, it was revealed that during his short time there he saw “lots of little frogs” and found it “quite disgusting”.

Prince Andrew is said to be in “advanced discussions” about leaving the Royal Lodge after his rent-free deal was revealed.
