Prince William and Princess Kate’s big decision surrounding their son, Prince George, signals the beginning of a “quiet royal revolution”. Earlier this month, senior royals attended the Festival of Remembrance to commemorate and highlight the work of servicemen and women past and present. These senior royals included the likes of King Charles and Princess Kate, as well as William’s eldest son, Prince George.
George, now 12, has been attending more and more royal events and was given the opportunity to appear at the Festival in his father’s absence on his return from Brazil. Commenting on George, royal writer Robert Jobson said George’s behavior during the celebrations was a sign of how the Firm was changing.
Don’t write Hello!he noted: “Meanwhile, George observes. He makes little but deliberate public appearances – a page of honor at the Coronation, now a ready presence for the Remembrance. He learns by watching: respect, patience, composure.”
“This is a quiet royal revolution. A smaller monarchy but with a larger purpose. Less distant, more human. Relevance and relatability sustain the Throne.
“The King remains her moral center; wise, thoughtful, and determined in her own health struggles. Her greatest achievement may be this: raising a son and daughter-in-law who can lead with both heart and mind.”
Describing how the new era began in the Royal Family at the Festival of Remembrance, Robert added: “When the national anthem ended at the Festival of Remembrance, Prince George stood next to his mother and looked at his grandfather… For now, the King reigns with composure.
“But the rhythm of the future is already beating; in the firm hands of his son and daughter-in-law, and in the clear, bright voice of his grandson. A new royal era has begun.”
This isn’t the first time George’s increasing number of public appearances have been discussed; royal expert Richard Eden also mentions its existence.
Richard, the Mail’s daily editor, said: “With the former Prince Andrew exiled from royal life and Prince Harry and Meghan crossing the Atlantic in America, there is increasingly room for a new member of the Royal Family to step forward. “What we are seeing now is a new royal in training, Prince George.
“At the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall, we saw his mother Catherine gently lead the way and truly demonstrate how Prince George could handle public events in the future.
“This is a commemorative event and an event that is very close to the hearts of the Royal Family, as well as one that Prince George is very interested in.”
As well as attending the Festival of Remembrance, George also attended an event at Buckingham Palace to celebrate the 80th anniversary.he Anniversary of VE Day.
