Prince Harry makes secret appearance in Nottingham | Royal | News

Prince Harry made a surprise appearance in Nottingham last night and spoke to youngsters at a movie premiere. The Duke of Sussex delivered a pre-recorded video message to moviegoers attending the first screening of ‘To Those Who…’ at Nottingham Broadway Cinema on Thursday.
Harry apologized for not being able to attend in person and praised the production as further evidence of the “creativity and talent that exists among Nottingham’s young people”. Some of the local organizations producing the film have been supported by the prince for more than a decade.
The film examines how limited choices, financial hardship, and loyalty to friends collide with ambition, discipline, and the desire for a better life.
It has been developed as an educational resource and will be shown in schools, youth services and community settings.
“It tells a story that may feel painfully close to… many of you,” Harry said. “This shows how quickly options narrow under pressure and how easily potential can be lost if young people are left without the support they deserve.
“But tonight isn’t just about challenges, it’s about potential, community and what’s possible when young people are seen, heard and believed.
“For every young person here tonight, your story, your voice, and your future matters.”
The film was produced by Take 1 Studios and developed with the support of Community Recording Studio (CRS), which Harry visited and supported financially during his previous visit to the UK last September.
Nottinghamshire Police, Pheasants at Radford Football Club and Broadway Cinema Nottingham also supported the film.
Prince Harry said in his video that the film underlines why grassroots organizations are “so important.”
“Our vision is not just to rebuild a roof, but to create a state-of-the-art, long-term space where young people can create, connect and thrive for generations to come,” he said.
“We are making progress, but no single organization can solve these challenges alone.”
