Prince Harry may have given the game away – he’s missing his old life | Royal | News

If Prince Harry were singing Sinatra’s ‘My Way’ at karaoke, he’d probably hum: “Regrets? I’ve had a few – but I’ll never admit them anyway…” Since Megxit, Harry and Meghan have been deaf to their own failures. Why admit your mistakes when you can blame the media, politicians or, in Harry’s autobiography, Spare, your own brother?
Harry deeply apologized when he was dressed in the wrong Nazi uniform for Halloween in 2005 – but then ‘The Replacement’ threw Prince William and Catherine under the bus. He said he asked them at the time whether they would go as Nazis or pilots: “They said Nazi uniforms.” He later added that “they both howled” when he tried it in front of them.
“Cheers, Harry,” William must have thought while reading this in January 2023. Why admit a mistake when you can partially direct the blame to the future king?
Last week in Aspen, Colorado, St. It is interesting that Harry was introduced as ‘Harry Wales’ at the Regis World Snow Polo Championships. Did he want such an entrance, who knows?
If not, it was an odd mistake as he has been known as the Duke of Sussex or Prince Harry for years.
During their upbringing, both William and Harry adopted ‘Welsh’ as their father was the Prince of Wales at the time. With King Charles now ascending to the throne, the naming tradition was passed on to the next generation.
William’s three children (Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis) are expected to use Wales as their surname from now on.
Harry’s use of the name in his youth makes Aspen’s announcement an odd throwback, although it is not made clear whether this was a deliberate choice or a simple oversight on the part of the organisers.
The Duchess of Sussex asked “who are they?” in a forensically barren kitchen in California. in the chilling Netflix show “With Love, Meghan,” which shows her making jam with her selection. unnamed US celebs – Meghan did the opposite of Harry and adopted the Megxit royal title.
In an episode called ‘Welcome to the Party’, US comedian and “toddler mum friend” Mindy Kaling puts her foot down as she tells Meghan: “I don’t think anyone in the world knows that Meghan Markle ate Jack In the Box.”
Meghan’s scathing response: “Very funny, you keep saying Meghan Markle – do you know I’m Sussex now?”
So are they Sussex or Wales? I wish they would make a decision!
It is not known whether Harry later corrected the announcer that he was no longer Harry Wales. But if not, is it a subconscious show of regret for a once rich and now slightly shallower life?
Is it the slow dawning in her mind that her 2020 resolutions may have brought them wealth from books and TV shows but left her as empty as Meghan’s kitchen?
Perhaps the new year of 2026 – and the outcome of a Home Office review into the Sussexes’ access to police protection officers if they travel to the UK – could see the frosty relationship between William and Harry thaw and the Sussexes spending more time in Blighty?
Some will be excited, some less so. Either way, it could be a fascinating 12 months.
