Survey reveals the UK city where residents spend the most time online

New research shows that online shopping, games and TV habits vary according to the places where people live.

Openreach’s data was that the city where the average family spent the most time online was Sheffield, with a third report they spent more than five hours a day, the city’s lowest total time online, and only 11 percent of the inhabitants exceeded five hours per day.

It was also found in 2025 between 8 and 9:00 of the day for internet use, then 9 and 10:00 and then 7 and 20:00.

So far the highest summit of the year on January 14 at 21:00 – a large download, flow services coincided with four live Premier League fixtures.

The questionnaire also found that almost two-thirds of people spend online time between 23: 00-16: 00-the most common internet usage at this time Youtube (19 percent) and internet shopping (17 percent).

Openreach, Manchester and London were cities with high probability of using people’s phones between 11-16:00.

The research coincides with the 25th anniversary of the first UK home band connection in Basildon, Essex in April 2000.

He revealed that controlling E -Posts is the most common online activity for the UK adults, and 66 percent of them placed this in the “most common five online activity”.

Openreach Assistant General Manager Katie Milligan said, “It is fascinating to see how different parts of England embrace the online world and adapt it in unique ways”.

“At the same time, it is encouraging that many of them realize the importance of taking time from devices and digital connections.”

The questionnaire was conducted among 2,000 consumers.
