Prince William ‘deeply betrayed’ as expert spots Harry’s ‘trap’ | Royal | News

Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet have not been to the UK since the summer of 2022. Although the joint trip has not been officially confirmed by his spokespeople, reports suggest the King is helping the family make security arrangements when they land in Britain. It is not yet known whether the King will meet his youngest grandchildren during their stay.

But the royal commentator has claimed there is one person the Sussexes are unlikely to meet: Prince William.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams said it was “unlikely” the heir to the throne would meet the Sussexes.

Harry, who claimed in his memoirs that William physically attacked him and pushed him into a dog bowl, became estranged from his brother.

Mr Fitzwilliams said Great Britain News: “As their only claim to fame is their connection to the monarchy, having cordial relations would benefit them enormously after Oprah brutally attacked the royal family in her Netflix series and her memoir Spare.

“William is said to have felt deeply betrayed. The King is said to have been more lenient.

“Much of this will play out in public, it is a matter of trust and the Sussexes fail to appreciate the need for privacy due to their desire for closer ties with the family they have clearly betrayed.”

Harry and Meghan are expected to attend the One Year to Stay event for the Invictus Games in Birmingham in 2027.

Mr Fitzwilliams added: “It’s a bit of a trap, but of course it’s a legitimate one. In reality it’s a huge publicity stunt.”

The Invictus Games sports competition for wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans will be held in Birmingham from 10 to 17 July next year.
