It is believed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will return to the UK with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to attend the one-year events of the Invictus Games, which will be held in Birmingham from July 10 to July 17, 2026.
According to reports over the weekend, Prince William is tussling with his father, King Charles, with an olive branch to Sussex. The Prince of Wales allegedly believes his father made the “wrong decision” by trying to rebuild his relationship with Harry and offering him royal residence for the trip to England. However, claims that there was a disagreement between William and Charles were denied by Buckingham Palace.
TalkTV presenter Mark Dolan has addressed Sussex’s return to England, claiming it was a “slap in the face of the British people” after he resigned as senior royals in 2020. “They will stay at the royal palace when they arrive in the UK in July.” he commented.
Program guest and royal biographer Angela Levin touched on Prince William’s reaction to the news of their impending arrival.
The presenter asked: “What do you think William will do about this? Because William was once close to his brother. How do you think he will feel about the King?” [Charles] Are you that generous?”
In a devastating blow, Angela claimed that William would not be happy with the news.
“I think William will be horrified and angry,” he said.
He continued: “I think he won’t go near her and he won’t let Catherine near him either.”
It has been claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan could potentially stay at Althorp House during their stay in the UK.
The ancestral home of Harry’s late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, is just an hour’s drive from Birmingham.
