Prince William’s Earthshot Prize has faced scrutiny after its co-founder was linked to Jeffrey Epstein in recently released Justice Department files. But one expert says it is “a bit of an exaggeration” to suggest that the Prince of Wales received funds for his charity through any connection to Epstein.
Although William is the face of the Earthshot Prize, a global environmental award given to five winners each year for their contributions to environmentalism, he recruited partners before launching the organization in 2020.
One of these partners is DP World, and its CEO Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem’s name appears in the latest Epstein files.
William’s name is not mentioned or applied in the Epstein files. Representatives for Buckingham Palace and the Earthshot Prize did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Royal family expert Ian Pelham Turner told Fox News Digital that he believes Republic used Sulayem’s ties to Epstein to completely dismantle the royal family.
Turner said: “I think it’s a bit of an exaggeration to bring up the Epstein debacle where Sultan Ahmed donated money through this connection. The money has now been appropriately donated to the award winners and so I feel the Republic is looking for any dirt to stick to the Royal family to maximize its strategy for the Royal family to remain in the past and be dissolved.” he said.

Graham Smith, Republic’s chief executive, issued a statement in the statement making it clear that “William has many questions to answer about what he knew about Andrew and Epstein.”

“We need answers in the context of this widening scandal.”
“It is not credible to believe that the State Department, the security services or other advisors were not aware of Sulayem’s character and could have advised accordingly. These files have been in the hands of US officials for years. It is incredible that such intelligence is not shared. Earthshot has a duty to do due diligence and ask questions about donors and where the money is coming from. Did they do that here? If so, did William override their better judgment?” Smith said.
