Princess Anne’s tour in doubt after shock royal death | Royal | News

He died in a hospital in Bangkok on Thursday evening. According to a statement made by the Royal Family Office, he was unconscious and receiving treatment in hospital.

In a televised speech, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul praised the late princess for her “determination to build a society of kindness, justice and equality that will forever remain a moral legacy for the nation, a guiding light for generations of Thais.”

Anne, 75, will travel east with her husband Sir Tim Laurence from 13 to 17 July.

Over the last two days, Mother has met with the Prime Minister of Thailand and Their Majesties the King and Queen.

During the visit, the Crown Princess will also pay tribute to the late Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, who died last year.

Princess Anne previously visited the country in 1972, 1979 and 1987.

Anne’s program during the visit also aims to strengthen bilateral ties with Britain, including diplomatic relations, charity work and cultural exchanges between both countries.

It is not yet known when the funeral of the Thai Princess will be held.
