Princess Charlotte once broke Royal Family tradition at Wimbledon | Royal | News

But while the princess knows all these royal rules and processes, it seems she’s not adhering to every Royal Family tradition. This includes the unofficial nail polish rule. Over the years, members of the Royal Family have mostly stayed away from bright nail polishes, opting for more neutral and natural-looking shades. But last year at Wimbledon, Charlotte stood out with bright pink nails.

There was no problem with this as a young royal at an unofficial royal event, and it would likely be okay even if she wore this nail color at larger royal events.

But royal fans loved the fact that the princess was allowed to wear nail polish and sport a bold color.

One user wrote to X at the time: “Love her nails. Bless her.”

The second chimed in: “I love this so much!”

A third exclaimed: “Soooo cute.”

Another added: “Our little princess is growing up!”

A fifth noted: “Perfect color for her age.”

It’s unknown whether Prince William and Princess Catherine allow the young royal to wear nail polish all year round, or if it’s limited to holidays and out-of-school moments.
