Princess Eugenie expecting third child this summer, Buckingham Palace announces

Buckingham Palace stated that Princess Eugenie is expecting her third child with her husband Jack Brooksbank this summer, adding that the King was “delighted” with this news.
A photo shared by Eugenie, 36, shows Ernest, wearing a Chelsea football shirt, and August, wearing a long-sleeved gray T-shirt, holding a photo of the baby scan.
Buckingham Palace said in a statement: “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce that they are expecting their third child together this summer.
“August (five years old) and Ernest (two years old) are also very excited about adding another sibling to the family.
“His Majesty the King has been informed and is delighted with the news.”
The baby will be born 15th in line to the throne, making his great-uncle the Duke of Edinburgh 16th in line to the throne.
He is also the late Queen Elizabeth II. He will be Elizabeth’s 15th great-grandchild and the third to be born since her death in 2022.

The new arrival will be Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s fifth grandchild, following the birth of Princess Beatrice’s daughter Athena Mapelli Mozzi in January last year.
The couple married at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in October 2018, and their first child was born in August on 9 February 2021. His younger brother Ernest was born on May 30, 2023.
