Princess of Wales blows kisses and accepts flowers during moving visit to children’s hospital…as 10-year-old patient sweetly asks ‘are you the queen?’

The Princess of Wales had the sweetest reaction when a young boy asked her if she was the ‘Queen’ during a visit to a children’s hospital in London today.
‘Are you the Queen?’ After 10-year-old heart patient Ejran asked this question, Catherine replied: ‘No, I’m the Princess of Wales.’
It was just one example of how the future Queen brought smiles and joy during her low-key visit to the Evelina Children’s Hospital, which works to help some of the capital’s sickest young people.
When ‘brave’ Ejran, who is being treated at the medical facility near Westminster, nodded in response to Catherine asking if he had ‘made any good friends’, she replied encouragingly: ‘Maybe they haven’t yet.’
She also thanked Ejran for patiently waiting to meet Catherine while blowing kisses and accepting flowers during her eventful visit to the hospital.
Prince William’s wife was stunning as she arrived at the medical facility near Westminster in a flowing, cream dress from Suzannah London.
The elegant midi model has thin pleats, black buttons and a matching belt around the waist; Catherine previously wore the dress to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the Grenfell Tower fire.
She completed today’s look with slingback black heels and styled her ‘bronze’ hair in loose waves.
Today’s low-key visit to the hospital, which the Future Queen has patronized since 2018, will highlight its work to become London’s most comprehensive, integrated children’s hospital.
The Princess of Wales caused smiles today as she visited the London-based Evelina Children’s Hospital, which works to help some of the capital’s sickest young people.
Catherine received a bouquet of roses from five-year-old Amelie during her visit today.

‘Are you the Queen?’ 10-year-old heart patient Ejran asked, to which Catherine sweetly replied, “No, I’m the Princess of Wales.”
Plans are afoot for a new building within the next decade, complete with additional scanners, beds and movie theaters, as well as state-of-the-art technology.
It is hoped that the Princess’ visit will raise awareness of Evelina London Children’s Charity’s efforts to raise £100 million towards the project.
During the engagement, Catherine visited Edward Ward, the new cardiac center at St Thomas’ Hospital, of which Evelina is a part of, where she met children receiving treatment in what was designed to be a warm and welcoming environment.
He later joined young patients and their families at the Galaxy Ward, a brand new outpatient unit at the Children’s Day Centre; where they will be able to book in-person heart clinic appointments, including diagnostic tests such as echocardiograms, evaluations, and continuing care for children and teens with heart conditions.
His final stop was to meet members of the children’s cancer program team who were working together to plan the move to a specialist cancer and blood and marrow transplant service.
The future Children’s Cancer Primary Treatment Center at Evelina will bring together teams from across London and the South East of England, allowing children with cancer to access all the specialist services they need in one place.
It comes after the princess posted heartwarming new photos of herself with her family – including her husband, children, parents and brother – after completing the Three Peaks Challenge to raise funds for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

In a heartwarming post uploaded to Instagram, Catherine was seen wearing red shorts and a baseball cap, surrounded by the people closest to her.
He captioned the footage: ‘This time last week we were completing the National Three Peaks Challenge. A huge thank you to everyone who supports the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.’
All three of their children were out in full force to show their support; Charlotte, George and Louis each wore their own pair of practical jeans and smiled at the camera.
She was accompanied for parts of the walk by Kate’s younger brother, James Middleton, who has endured health problems of his own after being treated for severe depression that caused him to consider suicide.
Sharing on Instagram this evening, James said he was ‘incredibly proud’ of his ‘beloved sister’.
He added: ‘Two years ago I told you that we would climb this mountain together. While we were in the hospital, we talked about climbing mountains and the incredible healing power nature can have for both body and mind. It was a great honor to join you in your Three Peaks Challenge for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
‘It’s nothing short of inspiring to see how far you’ve come. Your strength, resilience, and determination inspire me and so many others every day, while also being an amazing mother, wife, daughter, and sister.
‘Continue to be exactly who you are.’
In the Three Peaks Challenge, participants attempt to climb the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in 24 hours: Ben Nevis, the highest peak in Scotland and the UK, at 4,413ft; Scafell Pike, England’s highest peak, stands at 3,209 ft, and Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), Wales’ highest peak, stands at 3,560 ft.
The Princess was taken between the peaks (Scotland, then England and finally Wales) by her team. No other member of the Royal Family is believed to have completed the Challenge of the Three Peaks, making the princess’ victory a royal first.
