Updated –
Qantas customers, the first two of the new Airbus A321xlr aircraft can draw attention to some stylish new features from Thursday, while entering the commercial service, which is part of Qantas Group’s multibillion dollar fleet revision.
The long-awaited new generation of aircraft, baptism outback road (VH-OGB) and Great Ocean Road (VH-OGA), Sydney-Parth (at 11.07, a little more than half an hour) and evening (6.50pm) went to the sky with Sydney-Melbourne service.
New aircraft will replace Qantas’s aging Boeing 737s and will have wider economic seats, larger windows and faster, free Wi-Fi. The aircraft also appeals to a common passenger pain point: new larger fire boxes contain 60 percent more luggage area.
Last month, Qantas announced that the total Airbus orders on 48 aircraft in order to accelerate the fleet renewal program.
Most importantly, high-efficiency single corridor planes can fly 8700 kilometers-more than 3000 kilometers (“XLR” in the name of A321, “XLR”, “Extra Long Range”)-while opening more domestic and short-distance international routes for the Avayolu, they are pressing through crowded ways.
Although the new international routes for A321xlr have not yet been approved, Qantas Native General Manager Markus Svensson said that the expanded range has opened the possibility of adding arrival to the Pacific Islands with inappropriate Pacific Islands with our existing narrow body fleet ”.
Qantas CEO Vanessa Hudson said that the plane would lead to an increase in roads to Southeast Asia. Perth-Irtia is also a possibility.
The new A321XLR 197 passengers can carry the new A321xlr 197 passengers with a lower carbon emissions per seat and less than 737 predecessors. 20 Business Class Chair (more than 12) and 177 economic seats (more than 162) indicate a total increase in seat capacity of 13 percent.
Additional capacity did not eat space between the seats; While the economy is not affected, commercial customers stand out with 66 percent more leg gaps.
Business Class seats have a 37-inch (94 centimeters) field with a five-inch (12.7 centimeters) and six-way adjustable seat head, calf rest and foot based 2-2 configuration. The seats include reddish brown leather caps, wireless charging pads and dual USB A and C charging ports, as well as an extendable cocktail table and a built -in tablet -holding tray table.
Economic seats are wider in 3-3 configurations, 30 inches (76.2 centimeters) and 17 inch (43.2 centimeters) up to 17.6 inches (44.2 centimeters). The seats have extra padding, six -way leather adjustable seat heads, drop -down device holders, adjustable dining tables and dual USB A and C charging ports.
The redesigned seats contain new ingredients and a renewed color scheme, while the longer cabin’s higher ceilings and larger windows create a brighter, more spacious feeling by inviting more natural light.
Although there will be no back seat screens on the flying domestic routes of A321s, Qantas plans to configure the 16 of the new aircraft with entertainment screens to serve longer routes, including intercontinental flights and short and medium -speed international routes.
Project Winton, which forms part of the largest domestic fleet renovation of the airline to date, was announced in 2022 and was very delayed due to Covid supply chain cuts in securing the pieces.
In November of Qantas, the third A321xlr plane, seven Peaks Walk (VH-OGC) is expected to be delivered, and seven aircraft on the road before the end of the financial year.
Better news for domestic flyers, Virgin Australia delivered the first Embraer 190-E2 narrow body jet at the beginning of this month. New aircraft, Darwin, Kalgoorlie, Karratha, Port Hedland and Broome, including destinations, including the regional routes in Western Australia will first serve the ways of regulation.
