Procter & Gamble names Shailesh Jejurikar as CEO, first Indian to lead the company

NEW DELHI: The tidal manufacturer Procter & Gamble Company said that on Tuesday, business officer Shailesh Jejurikar would succeed as the chairman and general manager of the company to be valid on January 1, 2026.

This makes Jejurikar the first Indian to the global consumer goods company.

On January 1, 2026, he will be the executive chairman of Jon Moeller Procter & Gamble. In this role, Moeller will lead the board of directors and provide CEO advice and consultancy on company issues.

Jejurikar, who joined P&G in 1989, has been a member of the global leadership team of P&G since 2014 and has various high -level leadership roles in categories, sectors and regions. In North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America, it has helped to build many of P&G’s basic businesses, including global fabric care and home care.

It also helped to develop the company’s renewed strategies and operational results in supply chain, information technology and global business services. Jejurikar is an II graduate, Lucknow.

P&G, Ambi Pur, Ariel, Gillette, Head & Shoulders, Event, Oral-B, Pampers, Pantene, Tide, Vicks and Whisper. For the year ending on December 31, 2024, the company’s global net sales increased by 2% to $ 84 billion. In India, the company operates through three commercial organizations.

The Board also nominated Jejurikar at the annual shareholder meeting in October 2025.

P&G Board Chief Director Joe Jimenez said, “The company has continued to create strong growth and value through Jon’s stable leadership.

“Shailesh will benefit from his ongoing leadership to build on the strong foundation he helped to create,” Jimenez said, “Jimenez said.

P&G has operations in approximately 70 countries worldwide.
