Productivity, the Farrer by-election, and Rebel Wilson in court

Australia’s capacity to boost productivity will be the focus of a parliamentary inquiry, the Farrer by-election is heating up and Health Minister Mark Butler heads the National Press Club.
Additionally, Australian Hollywood star Rebel Wilson will defend herself in court against a defamation lawsuit. Welcome to another week of Australian politics and news.
The Senate select committee on productivity was created last November to examine Australia’s productivity growth, including the impact of federal laws and tax burdens. This week the committee will hold three public hearings from Wednesday through Friday.
