Prominent Ukrainian politician Andriy Parubiy shot dead in Lviv

Ukrainian officials said that Andriy Parubiy, former President of the Ukrainian Parliament, was shot and killed in LVIV.
Police received shooting reports in local hours on Saturday in the Frankivsk region of Western Ukraine, Western Ukraine. It is unclear whether the perpetrator was arrested.
The 54 -year -old Parubi came to the forefront as a part of Ukraine’s Maidan movement, which defends Ukraine’s closer ties with the European Union (EU) and dropped former pro -Russian former Russian President Viktor Yanukovych in 2014.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described it as a “terrible murder” and expressed his condolences.
It is not clear who is behind the attack. Unapproved reports show that Parubiy has been shot over and over by an armed man on an e-bike dressed like a courier.
Ukrainian national police are investigating killing LVIV Regional Police and Security Service.
Zelensky wrote on Telegram: “Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymanko and Prosecutor Ruslan Kravchenko reported the first known conditions of the terrible murder in Lviv. Andriy Parubiy was killed.
“All the powers and tools required to investigate and find the killer are being deployed.”
