Man taken to hospital in critical condition after group assault in Lon | UK | News

A man is in a critical condition following a group attack in central London, the Metropolitan Police said.

The victim, aged in his 40s, was tackled to the ground and attacked by a group of about four men near the Southbank Center in the early hours of Sunday morning. No arrests were made.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “At around 12.15am on Sunday, June 14, officers attended Belvedere Road, South Bank, following reports of the attack.

“The victim, aged in his 40s, was attacked by a group of approximately four men who tackled him to the ground and assaulted him.

“He was taken to hospital, his condition is critical.

“No arrests have been made at this stage and officers are conducting an urgent investigation.” Police are now appealing for information.
