Prost! Oktoberfest celebrations begin in Munich

Oktoberfest begins with millions of entertainment to attend the world -famous beer festival in Munich.

Munich Mayor Dieter Reiter will open the 190th edition of the festival on Saturday at Theresienwiese Meadow.

During the next two and a half weeks, six to seven million visitors are expected to join Oktoberfest 2025.

For 16 days until October 5, the participants can participate in the festivals in the famous beer tents, get on Ferris wheels and dress in Dirndls and Lederhosen.

The first Oktoberfest will be held in ideal weather conditions and temperature is expected to 30C on Saturday.

The festival, known as Wiesn, is believed to be the largest of the world’s species.
