A pub was renamed George Orwell to protest Labour’s plans for new digital identity cards.

With Sir Keir Starmer’s face, signage was placed in the building of the branded James Atherton Booker, the new Brighton, Merseyside.

George Orwell’s dystopic novel in 1984 ‘Savaş Is Peace’ and ‘Freedom Slavery’ expressions such as images were reflected next to the building.

In others, the Prime Minister is depicted as the leader of the state of Oceania, while ‘Big Brother is watching you’ before a big eye appears.

The host Daniel Davies said that Britain changed the name of the pub because he was afraid that he could be ‘very Orwellian’.
