Vuelta a Espana: David Gaudu wins third stage as Jonas Vingegaard retains overall lead

While David Gaudu maintained the general leadership of Jonas Vinggegaard, he produced perfect speed to finish uphill in the third stage of Vuelta A Espaana.
The 28 -year -old French career was the third Vuelta stage win and the first since 2020.
Gaudu, the third on Sunday, left his competitors behind in the last corner to finish the Danish couple Mads Pedersen and Vinggegaard.
Groupama-FDJ Rider Gaudu took a perfect line on tight bend and punched Pedersen at the last 50 meters, and Vinggegaard could not match them.
Vinggegaard collected a four -second bonus to finish the third, and he won 10 seconds to win gaudu, and although he was moved to a timely level with grain, Tour de France champion has remained the general leadership in the counting of places ever.
Pedersen was strongly disappointed on a 134.6km scene from San Maurizio Canavese to Ceres, and Gaudu admitted that it was a shock to defeat the Lidl-Trek man.
“This was a surprise, yes, because I thought the end on the bus this morning was more for Pedersen, but they said I could win today.” He said.
“The team has done a very very good job and I am very proud to win for me and for the team. This is the best start of Vuelta.”
Tom Pidcock from the Great Britain finished 23 and remained fifth in the general classification.
On Tuesday, a 206.7km middle mountain road from Susa to Voiron, the last four stages in Italy before going to Spain in Spain.
