Lockdown as police respond to ‘serious incident’ at home in Mosman Park, WA

Streets were closed and residents were asked to avoid the area as police responded to a “serious incident” at a house in Perth’s western suburbs.

There is a heavy police presence at the scene on Mott Close in Mosman Park and many surrounding streets have been cordoned off.

Authorities have asked the public to stay away but say there are no safety concerns at this time.

“WA Police Force officers are currently responding to a serious incident at a residence on Mott Close in Mosman Park,” a WA Police spokesman said.

“The situation is being assessed and an investigation is underway. Further information will be provided at an appropriate time once the circumstances surrounding this matter have been established.”

Emergency teams are also at the scene. A St John Ambulance spokesman confirmed they were responding to a critical incident and around six crews were at the scene.

Police are expected to provide an update at 11.30am local time.
