Putin invited to join Trump’s ‘Board of Peace,’ Kremlin says

Russian President Vladimir Putin receives invitation to join US “Peace Board” The Kremlin said on Monday that this was the case for Gaza.

Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Moscow will examine the details of US President Donald Trump’s offer to join the peace council created late last year. The “Peace Board” is seen as a tool to maintain the fragile ceasefire between Israel and Hamas and to oversee the reconstruction of Gaza after protracted fighting.

“President Putin indeed received an offer through diplomatic channels to join this Peace Council. We are currently examining all the details of this offer.” Peskov told Russian state news agency TASS:.

“We hope to contact the US side to clarify all the details,” he added.

Trump reportedly invited a number of world leaders, including Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. Argentinian President Javier MileiHe will join the Gaza Peace Board, which will be part of the larger Peace Board, Bloomberg reported on Saturday.

On Saturday, the United States also announced the names of those who will be on the “founding Board” of the council, including former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. among others.
