Queen Elizabeth II ‘repeatedly trashed’ Fergie behind closed doors | Royal | News

According to royal writer Andrew Lownie, Queen Elizabeth II. Elizabeth is said to have “trashed away” Sarah Ferguson behind closed doors. The late royal passed away on September 8, 2022, at the age of 96, and members of the Royal Family are devastated by his passing.
Sarah was previously married to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and was thought to have continued to share a close bond with her late mother-in-law despite her divorce from her second son. Sarah had previously described her as more of a mother than her own; the two were often bonded over their shared interest in horses and corgis.
Although their relationship was close for Sarah, it has been reported that the late Queen may not have viewed Sarah favorably.
Writing in an updated version of his book, Mr Lownie wrote: “Sarah Ferguson has spoken out about her relationship with the Queen but, according to a royal source, the monarch has repeatedly belittled Fergie behind the scenes and avoided it in public because Sarah is the mother of her two grandchildren.”
He then added that the late Queen and two other royals felt they did not want to speak ill of Sarah because it would add more “scandal” to the family.
Mr Lownie added: “The source said: ‘Many people, including the Queen, former Prince Andrew and Prince Charles, had known about his activities for years but turned a blind eye to protect the family from further scandal.”
Following his death in 2022, Sarah shared her heartbreak on Instagram.
He wrote: “I am heartbroken at the passing of Her Majesty the Queen. She leaves behind an extraordinary legacy: a most fantastic example of duty, service and determination, and a consistently steady presence as our head of state for over 70 years.”
“He selflessly devoted his whole life to the people of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.
“To me, she was an incredible mother-in-law and friend. I will always be grateful for the generosity she showed me by staying close to me even after my divorce. I will miss her more than words can express.”
