Teens sick of adults ignoring their views about social media ban

Young Australians say they are being sidelined in the debate over Australia’s social media ban on young people.

new research When young people’s views on social media’s minimum age policy were examined, it was revealed that they wanted adults to develop social media and not ban it.

Researchers from across Australia conducted 30-minute interviews with 86 young people aged 12 to 15 from a variety of backgrounds, locations and social media habits.

The study, conducted by the Queensland University of Technology’s Digital Media Research Centre, then analyzed the responses showing that young people have developed views on the benefits and harms of social media.
