Udhayanidhi lays foundation for auditorium at city college

Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin on Thursday laid the foundation stone for the construction of an auditorium at Bharathi College for Women on Broadway. The auditorium will be constructed by the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority under Vada Chennai Valarchi Thittam at a cost of ₹19.58 crore. Mr. Udhayanidhi also distributed 20 laptops to students as part of the State government’s initiative to distribute free laptops to college students. In his speech, the Deputy Chief Minister listed out various initiatives taken by the State government for the welfare of students and women: Pudhumai Penn And Naan Mudhalvan. Mr. Udhayanidhi also encouraged students to take advantage of free laptops to hone their skills. Hindu Religious and Charity Minister PK Sekarbabu and Greater Chennai Corporation Mayor R. Priya were also among those present.
