Murdoch’s The Australian finally identifies at The Israelian

Is this the dawn of a new era of truth in mainstream media? Rupert Murdoch’s Australian book identified himself as Israeli. What is fraud?

“I think most Australians are fed up with and immune to prejudice. The Israeli newspaper is acting in favor of the genocidal ethnic state of Israel,” said a letter from politician Shaoquett Moselmane (screenshot below).

I can think of three possible explanations: sloppy subreddit, flippant subreddit (not all Newscorp employees are Netanyahu fans), or Moselmane deliberately slipped this into the warning letter and in-house lawyers believed it was a pretty solid claim of defamation, so they published it. So he was likely to sue, and if so, he was likely to win.

The most plausible explanation is that Moselmane did indeed put it there on purpose, but the subs missed it. It must be a great slander that they allowed News lawyers to exaggerate the story complained of.

But to those familiar with the appallingly biased coverage of Gaza and Israel in the mainstream media – to use the technical term – this is a hoot.

Israeli and other Newscorp headlines have yet to shake off the “40 beheaded babies” and other Israeli propaganda tales about the Hamas attacks on 7 October, but they have yet to publish a balanced investigation into the genocide and, with willful credulity, toe the official US/Israeli line on everything, no matter how outlandish.

They allowed the US invasion of Iran by swallowing and vomiting out the approximately 30,000 to 80,000 Iranian protesters killed by the ‘murderer regime’. You name it.

Despite proclaiming the importance of free speech, there has been almost no booing about the Israel lobby’s attacks on free speech in Australia; Critics of Israel’s wars have been brutally beaten to the point of obsession – vid Randa Abdel-Fattah and Grace Tame.
