Rachel McAdams pays tribute to late Diane Keaton at the Oscars: ‘A legend with no end’ | Oscars 2026

The 98th Oscars in Los Angeles commemorate one of Hollywood’s most beloved and extraordinary stars, Diane Keaton, who died in October 2025 at the age of 79.
Rachel McAdams took to the stage to pay tribute to a woman who “wore many hats, literally and figuratively” and called her “a legend without end.”
Woody Allen, his longtime collaborator and sometime partner, was not there; He won the leading actor Oscar for his 1977 film Annie Hall, which was inspired by Keaton’s own life.
Keaton’s death came as a shock to many in the industry. The actor had not been in the public eye for several months, but no illness was announced.
He is survived by his two adopted children, Duke and Dexter.
