RACP board in turmoil as dissident director prevails at doctors’ meeting
At the Extraordinary General Assembly meeting of the Board of Directors of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), dissenting director Dr. He again failed to oust Sharmila Chandran.
The vote in favor of Dr Chandran has risen from 65% to 74% today from the 7,444 votes cast at the last EGM, putting chair Professor Jennifer Martin and her allies in an almost untenable position.
A vote of no confidence was held at two EGMs and one board of directors meeting; All three votes were won by whistleblower Chandran, who was fighting a case against them.
Adding to the chaos in the boardroom are more detailed allegations of management irregularities from another whistleblower published here yesterday.
