Railways ‘CHIRAG’ – Centre for HR Excellence inaugurated at Moula-Ali

The Center for HR Information Systems, Research and Analytics in Governance (CHIRAG), a Center of Excellence in Indian Railways focusing on human resource management training, research and digital transformation, was inaugurated by Additional Member (HR) VG Bhooma in the presence of senior railway officials at SCR Grounds adjacent to the Regional Railway Training Institute (ZRTI) in Moula-Ali on Monday.

CHIRAG aims to play a key role in developing HR capabilities across Indian Railways. It will offer role-based, certified Human Resources Management System (HRMS) training to employees in all positions and will develop a special HRMS-MITRA master trainer staff to be assigned to ZRTI. In addition, the center will serve as a think tank on the creation of HR policies and integration between systems. It is also set to incorporate advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and predictive analytics to strengthen HR decision-making processes.

The facility will house state-of-the-art computer laboratories and an iGOT recording studio to support the expansion of educational programs nationwide. In a press release, it was stated that on this occasion, the foundation stone of a new building in the center was laid.
