Storage and hybrid systems will form the backbone of renewable energy in the coming years, and Rajasthan, with its extensive solar parks and state-of-the-art grid infrastructure, is poised to lead this change. The Desert State is already at the top of the list in the solar industry.

These views were expressed at the ‘Global Solar Expo-Rajasthan 2025’ held in Jaipur on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, with experts confirming that the State is fast emerging as a magnet for large-scale solar hybrid, storage and green hydrogen investments. Minister of State for Energy Heeralal Nagar inaugurated the two-day mega exhibition at the Rajasthan International Centre.

The fair brought together a large number of industry leaders, investors, policy makers, technology experts and start-ups seeking rapprochement with government institutions. The expo was jointly organized by Energy Quotient (EQ) Magazine and C2Z solar energy and decarbonization market.

Mr. Nagar said the State government has taken steps to attract investment in solar power projects, while farmers have shown interest in installing solar pumps and grid-connected plants to reduce irrigation costs through the Centre’s schemes. “Solar energy has also helped provide electricity to agricultural consumers during the day,” he said.

In his speech, Chief Secretary Energy Ajitabh Sharma said that the State is on its way to becoming the largest green energy hub in the country in the coming years with its forward-looking policies.

The fair witnessed meaningful dialogues on technology, policy and investment in the renewable energy sector with the participation of more than 100 participating companies. The speakers shed light on PM-KUSUM and PM Surya Ghar plans, rooftop solar plants, hybrid models, robust and dispatchable renewable energy, battery energy storage system, storage solutions, green financing and green hydrogen.

Models of advanced technologies such as solar modules, inverters, battery storage, electric vehicle charging, smart grid systems and new generation clean technology solutions were exhibited at the event.

Deputy Prime Minister Prem Chand Bairwa will felicitate the 100 top achievers of India’s solar industry on the second and final day of the exhibition on Thursday, November 27, 2025. Rohit Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director of Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation, among others, was also present at the opening session of the fair.
